They say once you leave home you can never look back, however, someone apparently forgot to tell that to this years crop of first year head coaches in the college ranks, for example, Dave Wannstedt, Charlie Weis and Mike Gundy have accepted positions at their alma maters while Frank Solich, Walt Harris, Terry Hoeppner and Ed Orgeron are moving closer to their home towns, Brent Guy and Bill Cubit have with the addition of big titles made a return appearance to former employers, and lets not forget that Steve Spurrier and Tyrone Willingham have returned to the SEC and Pac-10 which originally spawned them.

We found cheap houses for sale all over the country. My wife Ana and I were on a seven-week drive around the country. It was a vacation, but we looked at houses too, and bought one in a great little town in the mountains of western Montana. It cost $17,500, and after $2000 to fix it up, we lived there for several months before selling it for $28,000.

We loved Anaconda. Where else can you fly fish, go to a three-dollar movie in a beautiful old art-deco theatre (the 5th most beautiful in the country, according to the Smithsonian), drop some nickles in a slot machine, eat at a fine restaurant, stop by the bar for a dollar beer, and

buy a house for under $30,000 - all within a four block area! There are good schools and churches, a library with fast internet service, and wildlife (including bears) a few hundred yards from downtown.

As a member of a car club I often wonder what inspires others like myself to join such an organization. Certainly the cameraderie, the sense of being part of a big family, is an important factor. The club I belong to is devoted to all Volkswagens, old and new. The question for others fascinated with these cars is, What got us interested in Volkswagens in the first place? There are probably as many stories of inspiration as there are dandelions in my front yard every Spring. With that said, here is mine.

A campaign opened by Oklahoma State s athletic director Mike Holder and his wife to bestow all of the universities athletic scholarships by donating $500,000. The action that will allow Oklahoma State to provide a football scholarship each year is in honor of Vernon Grant a Cowboys starter at safety who was killed in a May 2005 in a car accident in Dallas.

Vernon’s death was a terrible tragedy and it meant a loss for almost anyone related with Oklahoma State University and its football family, that is why it is so human what Holder is doing. His move to create the first endowed football scholarship ever at Oklahoma State also is the beginning of an initiative to donate all

of Oklahoma State’s 229 athletic scholarships by 2016. Oklahoma State has $2 million in gifted scholarships, the lowest total in the Big 12, said Craig Clemons, the school’s associate vice president for athletic development.

My wife Ana and I found cheap homes for sale all over the country during a seven-week drive, and we even bought one along the way. It was in a pretty little town in the mountains of western Montana, and it cost us $17,500. We spent almost $2000 to fix it up the way we liked it, and lived there for several months before selling it for $28,000.
